Plugging network router into another router?

Dec 17, 2015 2 Replies

Wishing to plug a TP Link WR340G remote box, provide wifi at location into main router Fon La Fonera, don`t appear to immediately like each other...

Take it need to either tell the TP Link box to act as dumb switch with wifi or let the Fon box allow it a range of addresses to hand out?

Any advice greatfully received, Thanks.

Give the TP-Link a static address within the subnet of the main router but outside its DHCP scope, and turn off the DHCP server on the TP-Link. Connect them LAN port to LAN port.

You probably need to connect to TP link router (by cable or wifi) directly to another computer or whatever to turn off DCHP and set a static IP address
