Thanks, I am a num keyp user but it's nice to have a brand recommendation as I'm due a replacement.

Now all I need is one for a decent mouse, I tried the Accuratus Upright 2 but the wheel action failed in no time due to a cheap and nasty rotary encoder:

Still looking . . .

I use a logitech mouse, but beware, I have bought several of these from 'official' vendors and there is one that works well, and another which is crap.

One has 'logitech' on it, and is crap

the other says 'logi', and works well. M185 wireless mouse

Runs out of battery every 6 months or so. But this one has done about 2 years and is still good.

I prefer the Logitech ERGO series of trackball mice, but it's very much a matter of personal preference.

I bought the model with an add-on plate which increases the mouse's inclination by an extra 20 degrees - but I still found that insufficient for my comfort and added another wedge to bring it to a point where my wrist sits in a comfortable position.

Control-Escape does the trick. My model M keyboards drive SWMBO bananas. She runs away. I don't use them for anything else.

I have used the same Model M daily since 1989 (when I bought it new).

It is now in my workshop and I have a USB keyboard, which I require for my main system. It is a Model M with a Windows key, effectively, from the previous IBM factory (now Unicomp).

Ctrl-esc does work to invoke the start menu like Win, unfortunately it doesn't extend to Win+Shift+s for snipping tool, or Win+Ctrl+q for quick assist or other useful Win+something combinations.

Thanks, decided I didn't really need the ergo styling and after reading a few reviews I picked up a near new ROCCAT Kone Pro mouse on ebay. Added a DURGOD K310 full size keyboard to complete the picture.

This has just arrived:

It seems to be genuine but is cheaper than many others so don't know how genuine it is, paperwork looks OK.

Works OK and feels nice.

Thats about what I paid for mine
