Hi,
decided to paint the fibreglass balcony as it is looking a bit scruffy.
[Size is about 20' * 9']
Checked with International and their floor paint isn't suitable.
They gave me the number of their marine division.
Recommendation (including coverage) plus cost from Internet:
2 coats Interprotect
2 coats Perfection undercoat blue
2 to 3 coats Prefection Chili Red
2 * 2.5l IProt 2* £67.00 £134.00
4 * 0.75l Perf Und. 4 * £26.00 £104.00
4 * 0.75l Perfection 4 * £32.50 £130.00
Total £368.00
This doesn't include thinners.
This also involves doing the whole darn thing in at least 7 coats, which given the vagaries of the British weather could take an awful long time.
So can anyone recommend a simpler and cheaper way to successfully paint fibreglass - suitable for heavy foot traffic?
