OT Just love predictive texting

On the OVO site someone said that SP were responsible for the poor connection, and then followed it up with an expletive deletive, because she meant "POWER" connection.

Someone else commented :-

The guy who invented predictive text died last week. His funfair is next Monkey ?.

One regular meal in our house is "Smart Chicken". The result of my sons predictive text error to STWNFI when she asked what meal he would like on our return from a trip to Lesotho.

STWNFI spent ages looking up Lesotho traditional chicken recipes :-)

The weirdest one I've had is when I was telling someone to convert to CMYK in photoshop while typing on my ipad it kept replacing CMYK with Mykonos !

There's a funny echo in here.

I still haven't worked out why Xmas comes out as Wobs for the first suggestion with T9.

I remember a fuss many years ago about the Psion Organiser. I don't know if it was true or not, but it made all the papers at the time. IIRC typing Jews, autocorrected to Gas. It was certainly something along those lines.

Its a bit like Google Instant though. the number of times it comes up with pubic instead of public makes me wonder what people are actually searching for these days. Brian

On a desktop google is as sensible as usual. But on the mobile it's hopeless. Searching for anything factual mostly fails.

You're obviously not familiar with the "Predictive text guys" sketches from the "Armstrong and Miller" shows some years ago now, or you wouldn't be pondering such non sequiturs. :-)
