Mr Spock got in on the act too with "The ballad of Bilbo Baggins".

A different video (no, really!):

William Shatner made a short clip for and with State Farm insurance, with cautions about how to and how not to deep fry a turkey (a method of cooking turkeys preferred by inebriated leftpondians leading to similar accidents as the Unattened Chip Pan) and this is it sampled and set to music.

It can't be as bad as his Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds ?

For some reason the late Peter Wyngarde springs to mind ...

Since Leonard Nimoy has been dead for some years this has to be an old thing then. Remember Bill Shatner, who is Canadian by birth, made an album when he was younger which sounded like he was on some dodgy substance. He has a great sense of humour. Brian

There's a recording on Youtube of Kenneth McKellar singing a version of the Ball of Kirriemuir that your granny probably would not approve of, and which would certainly not be played on BBC Radio Scotland at 7pm on a Saturday evening.

One Xmas, after my very respectable Granny had a couple of glasses of sherry, she sang a version of that song I'd only heard in not-so-respectable Edinburgh folk clubs.

She sang it very well...
