We haven't paid a delivery charge and haven't spent as much as £80: I think we got an introductory offer for some reason, and then a discount for being a regular customer, for some value of regular. Delivery being extra would take the shine off it.

I once did 6 weeks of 7 days a week of 10 to 12 hour shifts to get a job out of the door. In retrospect it was completely counter productive. The most productive work was done in the first few hours in the morning after a sleep and most mistakes (including some expensive ones) were made in the early evening.
I also had workmates that after long hours had accidents. One didn't realise the car park gate was closed and locked after 8pm and at around
11pm when he left work drove straight into the gates. Another had a fairly serious road accident with what must have been the only other car on the road at that time when leaving work in the early hours of the morning - we didn't work an official night shift.
I'm not sure that is true, if you are comparing quality like for like and, even if it is, you can't make toad in the hole without sausages.
It matters to those who take a pride in doing things properly.
AKA butterflying them.
Now expect the likes of a true blue Tory saying you're a wimp. He can sit in his office for 10 hours (once in a blue moon) perfectly happily.
hole in the hole?
I never gave a toss about that for cooking.
not with my level of dexterity
But it doesn't restrict the number of hours a person can spend commuting. For 30 years I left the house at 6:40AM, walked to the station (17 mins), caught the train to London, sometimes had to travel by tube or London Overground (as it became known), and at night the reverse journey and got back in the house at
8:45 PM. Luckily only Mon to Friday, and 75 minutes on the train each way allowed for some snoozing.
Toad in the hole with meat-free sausages :-)
