Not uBlock nor Adblock, I don't think, but if you'd stored your cookie settings previously, then it will pick them up and everything will appear normal. But if, like me, you'd cleared all your cookies out last night, it has to start again and it can't.
Ah, yes. But now the problem is to access the slider (on my config) I lose the top labels so have no idea what day/time I am looking at. So it's still not as good as it was.
With 20 years web development to my name, I can spot politics and someones pet project a mile off. Whatever happened to A/B testing ?
The problem is that the website's function is not to please you, it is to advance the designer's career. So ease of use, accessibility, etc are well down the list of desirables, while fancy-looking gadgets are right at the top.

I can put up with a certain low level of irritation though. It's more people like Brian, or SWMBO who rely on additional software to interpret the site that lose out.
It's not that I expect everything to be built with 5% or less of the population in mind so much that not investing the 0% effort it takes to make things available to that 5% speaks volumes.
Because building an accessible web page takes exactly the same effort from scratch as deliberately building the s***ty one you did - mainly because you aren't a "web developer" but a "dreamweaver dreamer".
