For machines that don't have the motherboard connector, you can add a card to a desktop to get a connector.
You could use two of these with the previous product, to get a total of four USB3 ports at the front. I picked this one, because the pictures are clearer than trying to look at a quad tray and its cabling.

You can get NVMe trays, to go with your red connector. That's hardware that people can still afford. Generally, the fastest stuff, you need a computer science degree to use it (and get the speed you were expecting). But the Teal Blue, it gets you past the mediocrity of the black USB2 connector. And that's "good enough".
At the higher speeds, USB doesn't guarantee fairness. If you had an external powered hub with Teal and Red connectors, they might not "share" in a two to one ratio as intended. Somebody discovered they're "greedy", and if two of them were transferring at the same time (unlikely pattern), one can kinda starve the other. Only the Computer Science graduate has sufficient kit, to be seeing problems like that :-) Ordinary users would never notice.
