Leisure Battery flattery?

Can a leisure battery be left flat for weeks?

I remember that car batterys die after a few days below 11 volts.

I want to connect one to a solar panel and wind charger and leave it for a few weeks in a field with people who may flatten it trying t6o charge their phones and laptops etc.

I'd call it a low battery alarm.

adjustable, a kit, and the first one that came up on Google.

The output should drive the "set" coil of one of these with no major problems:-

's simple to design the circuit to disconnect the battery from the alarm circuit and the output when it's activated, with an optional LED to tell you *why* it's stopped working. Use the reset coil via a key switch to arm the circuit again.

There'll be a small parasitic current from the alarm all the time, which may or may not be a problem.

low Voltage Disconnect, LVD , but its a feature of solar charge controllers anyway, first one up on ebay:

Leaving it at 11V for any length of time would bugger it. How about using half the capacity, but in nicads?

Of course it will. Maybe you need to camouflage it... Brian

There are several devices designed for running things like portable fridges from car batteries. They all use the standard 12V cigarette lighter plugs and sockets. Here are three:
