Leaking Shower Base

Hello,

I have a shower cubicle in my en-suite that is leaking drips onto the lounge ceiling below it. Whilst the shower is on you can hear a slow drip when downstairs underneath it, and there is a stain beginning to appear now.

I cannot see any obvious damage to the tile grout or sealant in the shower, and the base isn't cracked nor seems loose, but it does leak.

Any suggestions as to how best to locate said leak?

TIA,

Andy.

I had a leak in my shower floor/wall, impossible to locate accurately, however as I live in a bungalow it was not as worrying. In the event I spent quite some time playing the shower onto various wall joints and eventually decided that it was coming from more than one point. So I bit the bullet and cleaned off all the internal and external sealant. I then removed grouting from the tile wall corners and from the tiles to base, also the exterior doors (the interior is not sealed). I then re-sealed with a good quality sealant and have been trouble free since (18 months now).

Have you checked the drain leading from the shower and the joint bewteen drain and base? Does the drip continue long after the shower is turned off?
