leak on central heating system

Nov 22, 2006 3 Replies

Hi,

From a previous thread, it would appear i have leak on my pressurised

central heating system. Are there any methods for locating leaks apart from the obvious- I have checked all visible pipework, lifted floorboards etc. But some pipework is un-accesable. Failing finding the leak whats the best additive to put in the system with the hope of curing it.

Thanks Phil

If you are absolutely certain you have a leak, then you will need to inspect all pipework, not just the pipework that's easy to get at.

Holy water. Some people believe in it, and at least it won't ruin your boiler or pump.

Oxypic - worked for me when all the other stuff failed. Google for it!
