+1. Although it is not uncommon to fit a cutout / isolator on things like horseboxes and camper vans that are sometimes left parked up for a few months. I added one to my ATV too. I can't quite follow why the OP modified a knife type isolator. The usual ones have a removable big red plastic key.
So what happens to this car's learning curve of your driving when you let her drive your car?
eg to nip down to the off licence for you, maybe the supermarket for non essentials such as food or in the good old days to pick you up from the pub in her dressing gown at 2 am [1] and drop you and a couple of mates off at home to save on a taxi fare?
[1] Only on the days she has a 5am start as you know she will be under the drink drive limit.

Quite. It has learned you always drive at 90 mph, so expect a decent crash.

Enough V_out and i_out to charge a car battery is generally achieved before the car starts moving.

Sadly, they have now removed them. Apparently some of them were very good.
Only to one where the little grey cells died years ago.
Honda CRV years back had the battery fail. When tested, voltage connected was about 4V. New battery needed and it took 2 days to get one and fit it. Car was crap to drive at first, wouldn't rev, no poke. Drove it about town then up the bypass and along motorway and back in stop start traffic. Was fine then.
My HiLux (2.4L diesel) pickup back box has split and it's noisy. Can't be bothered trying to get it fixed till we're let out up here in Scotland and it's too noisy to drive without attracting lots of attention. Tried to start it yesterday, 4 1/2 weeks since last used when silencer failed. Central locking sounded lazy when I hit the blipper. Key in, ignition on, wait for glow light to go out. Turned the key and it spun over like a crazy bastard and started just as quickly as normal. Smoked like a forest fire at first but ran fine. I left it running for
25mins+. Gave it a rev and it was like a destroyer laying a smoke screen but then cleaned up. Left it for another minute idling and shut it off. 4.5 weeks with alarm active had no effect. It does have two massive 12v batteries in parallel but they are both over 8 years old.
The only thing the engine ECU in a petrol engine should need to learn is the octane rating of the fuel. But since if it can, it would have knock sensors, it should react very quickly indeed.
You write the software for them do you?
I know someone who does. ;-)
But if you know more than me, explain just what does happen.
