Identifying Heating Timer

The pictures show the heating controller at Billericay Cricket Club. The programmable timer needs to be re-programmed but nobody has been able to discover how to do it. Does anyone out there recognise the clock unit? They've been back to the original installers but they say that they don't keep records longer than ten years - and the unit is older than that.

It looks like a fairly standard industrial programmable timer unit. No doubt if you open the door of the panel and look on the back there will be a manufacturers name embossed onto it. You might even be lucky and find a circuit diagram with the details of the unit inside the panel. A local electrical wholesaler could probably give you contact details for the maker or even a product sheet with programming instructions.

Did you ask the installers how to work the clock? Even if they don't keep installataion records, they probably used that type of clock for a number of jobs over some length of time. They might still know its workings, even if they don't record installing it.

Otherwise open the cabinet, find the clock maker's name and model number and hit Google.

Thanks for the suggestions. The installers weren't being particularly co-operative for some reason. I guess that they will have to get a properly qualified engineer to open up the box - but they are not short of money. Nick L

Can you find a teenager? He will sort it out.

If it's over 10 years old then it's standby battery is probably on it's way out anyway. It would be sensible to look for a new clock. It looks to me like a 2-channel 96mm square unit. Does that sound right for a start?
