Hi allI am thinking of buying some tiles which will be delivered on 4 pallets each by my calculations around 1 T in weight. The question is how do I get them off my side and put the somewhere out of the way. A fork lift truck would be an obvious choice but I can't find anywhere locally that hire them for a day. Also likely to be cost prohibitive as they would need to deliver and collect. I found a high lift pallet truck to hire ( but it is unclear whether this will be able to rise, go into the pallet, roll back and then lower to the ground. If it does it might be ideal. The guy who would deliver it has 2 ramps to go up to the trailer but feels that rolling it off with a standard pallet pump truck wouldn't work. Anyone have any ideas ?Thanks Lee.

That looks as though that is intended to raise a pallet to table height, to make transferring goods easier. I don't think it will do what you want. What you need is a pallet stacker truck: one is electric, but they are also available with manual winch or hand pumped hydraulic lift. Probably not cheap to hire though.When my roofers had pallets of tiles delivered, the lorry they came on had a Hiab style crane, with pallet forks and simply unloaded them where the roofers wanted them.

Sure, but there is no reason why it can't be as solid as what is used on trucks.

That one is only intended for gas cylinders.
