I had a few hundred second hand bricks getting in the way in my garden and I wanted a two bay compost heap, so I decided to try my hand at bricklaying and build one. A bit over the top for a compost heap I know, but otherwise I'd have the bother of getting rid of the bricks.
Anyway, all has gone reasonably well so far but it is now approaching the height I wanted - about 3 ft and I'm wondering how to finish the top of the wall. I would like it to be flat, because I'll probably put some kind of hinged top on it. I was thinking of just laying the final course upside down, thus giving a flat finish. Will that give me problems later on?
Any advice welcome,
TIA
Steve
