Colin Wilson was thinking very hard :

...and I could buy that 16x over from my current account with plenty of change. I've just taken a look at what we could buy if we sold up here- I didn't realise homes were quite so cheap in the US.

Median household income is $25k.

2.5 stories (hmm... bet there are a few more than that)

So you're not proposing prayer then ;-)

but I think even Cleveland UK would be a nicer place to live then Cleveland Ohio. And It wasn't that long ago you could buy a complete street in Middlesbrough for £2.5k ;(

They are at the moment even in the more upmarket parts of Florida in comparison with the UK, How long that will last............

It's usually the cousin (?) of the neighbour, but AFAIK he's still under the age of legal responsibility. And knows it.

I haven't heard gunshots there before, but the police are there often enough as it is :-}

paint a white line on it and if it gets smudged paint it again and again?

or grey so its not so noticeable on the stone, but noticeable on poncy teen clothes?

but not pointed metal spikes

if you use kiddy water poster paint grey then when your neighbours have moved the paint will wash away with rain and not poison the garden..

That's absolutely barking - really nice houses for the price of a car.

Yeah, might do the trick, but I think i'd prefer to eat a mars bar personally :-p

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember Colin Wilson saying something like:

About 20 years ago I went to Toledo Ohio on a training course, as part of which I went out with a Mercan sales rep to Cleveland. Scared the s*1t out of me then. Lots of dubious looking characters hanging about, area looked like a bomb had gone off.
