Hammerite Rust Removing Gel Vs Vactan

A while back someone suggested trying Vactan rust converter, wasn't too impressed with it to be honest. Looked like Kurust and the following year, the rust on my car was through again.

So this time I decided to try some Hammerite Rust removing gel, then spray it with zinc primer.

Must say I am VERY impressed with how it worked, seemed to do a much better job than Jenolite.

The instructions aren't very clear, the way it was worded made it sound like you were supposed to slap it on, let it dry then paint over it. However by following the instructions here...

Slapping it on, leaving it a while, then agitating it with a soft wire brush and repeating, brought up shiny bright metal after a couple of hours.

Will definitely be using this product again.

Anyone else used it? What was your experience?

Anyone else had problems with Vactan? Someone told me the US military use it on on their subs? If so, I'm surprised they haven't rusted through yet!

'Hammerite' own Jenolite. But now use their own name.

Really?

Well this stuff appears to be different to old style Jenolite, doesn't mark the paintwork for a start.

Has brought the bottom of my Focus passenger door up nice and bright anyhow.
