Flexipipe connection to toilet cistern

Different stuff, I think. You have HDPE, polybutylene, PERT or similar plastic pipe. AIUI the flexipipe the OP refers to is the thing with a plastic inner and a braided metal outer with BSP threads on the ends, a bit like a shower hose.

The point of UFH pipe is it's buried as one continuous loop with no joins below ground, so it's less likely to leak than something with fittings.

Update: When I took the cistern off the wall I saw that when I had originally installed it there I had marked a centre line and before removing it had carefully measured the height so with these two measurements I was able to mark its position on the tile backer boards and reinstall it in the exact position it was previously so the supply pipe located on the valve tail perfectly so the flexipipe was not required. Thanks for all the replies.

I am content to use flexi connections, but will make sure they are decent quality with stainless braid - I have seen ones that rust that have failed where the braid corroded and stopped supporting the inner pipe.
