They'l be difficult to push in with the flange on the outside of the plasterboard. I think I've managed to pull 'em out by seriously over tightening so the cone collapses and the "prongs" can fold back against the body when pulled. Still makes the hole bigger though.

Then insert the bolt they came with, tap it with a hammer to straighten up the cone. You do not need to totally straighten it, just enough to pull the plug forwards enough to cut the flange off with some wire cutters before shoving the rest into the stud wall. ie so that it drops into the wall not just behind the tile.

replace with the suction type of grab handles.

I used to have suction-type soap trays. After a few months they fell off and had to be re-stuck. I wouldn't trust them for grab-handles if any degree of pull was put on them.

Your wire cutters must be a bit different to mine to cut the flange off a wall anchor. B-)

Refittung the bolt and tapping to straighten the cone and bit might enable the anchor to be pulled out as the hole will push the cone flat.
