Im installing an electric shower but i want to know if there is a problem if i use plastic pipe to feed the cold water into it.I was thinking there might be a prob with earthing(cross bonding)

Nope, plastic's fine.

The shower itself will be earthed: it certainly doesn't rely on its water supply pipe for this in any way.

As for any installation the incoming cold water supply should be x-bonded to the electrical supply earth (by the meter) and to the gas.

(Q for the panel: if the incoming water pipe is MDPE and the installation pipework is also plastic does one x-bond the stopcock?)
