A clamp meter would be hand for jobs like this. Slap it round a meter tail (or if you are feeling enthusiastic, open the CU and clip it round the wire out the top of the shower MCB).

This time of year the incoming water supply will be colder. When I had an electric shower performance was much better in summer.
