Theyre easy enough to make, and can be fitted into any mains fitments you like.

Personally I would avoid white LEDs, as light output drops heavily over time, and they're pricey. Mixed coloured LEDs are a much more practical way to get white, and its a much better white than the blue and yellow that white LEDs produce.
