Follow up to an earlier thread where I complained that Polyfilla over screw heads had expanded.....
On sanding down, the unmistakable smell of resin showed I had actually used a proprietary wood filler.
I think the MDF window boards had shrunk very slightly but that oil based paint had *grown* the filler.
