Cutting Feltguard without a trip to A&E

As per subject,

Cutting this stuff with a Stanley knife is almost impossible.

How do others do it.

For those who don't know what the stuff is, it is highly compressed felt with an adhesive backing. Available in many sizes and shapes but there are occasions when you still to cut it and it is bastard stuff to cut even with a new blade.

Scissors? I've cut plywood and metal up to 1.6 mm with scissors

Not sure if or how much denser "feltguard" is than Wickes own brand

which seem pretty dense to me, but cuts well with snap-off knife (Tajima Razar blades from brewsters or toolsatan)

For cuts on thinner stuff I've used wall paper scissors which have long blades and provide more leverage.

For some very dense stuff, and for straight cuts, a kitchen craving knife.

I keep both very sharp
