Conservatory Glass

Does anyone know the regs for window/door glazing to a conservatory .

AIUI, most (but not all) conservatories are not subject to building regulation inspection or notification. However, Part M still applies and you must use safety glass for all panes that extend below 800mm and in doors and associated side panels (within 300mm) to 1500mm height.

Quite frankly, you should be using safety glass for all panes, anyway.

There is no requirement to comply with Part L1 (i.e. install double glazing). However, it is worth doing so regardless, as it reduces condensation and enables the room to be used for an extended period of the year. It also makes heating feasible, especially if a double glazed or triple wall polycarbonate roof is installed.
