concrete floor installation

another cellar question... as the underslab is solid, firm and dry clay, do you think I'll need to dig it out and add a couple of inches of hardcore or could I just blind it with a thin layer of sand to level it off/protect the DPM ?

I'd lay hardcore and concrete first, then DPM then insulate and screed.

Dig ou as far as is necessary to do a proper job.

i.e. about 4" of conctete and hardcore, 2" of polystyrene and 3" of screed.

I'm not screeding the floor, the concrete will be finished floor level

I have/am, just wanted some input before I call the BCO out again

3" of screed ? a little on the excessive side aint it ?
