After only a year or so a new 'insult'. The 'plantpot' has been retired?

Interesting that in both he has to invent words...

Maxie, how do you know Adam likes it rough? Wow! What a man! What man! To think Maxie is a fan of Jim Reeves as well. Amazing.

Now it all fits. I know why, it is your ways that is the problem.

Hungover? Usually 'eff' off.

Do you have these phrases on a hot key?

Perhaps you could change them as often as you do your favourite boiler... choice

One thing I've oft wondered - why the 'please'? Did your mommy tell you always to be polite? And what went wrong?

He's just showing due deference to his superiors, i.e. everyone on the face of the planet.

Fantastic Maxie! What a quip! What a man. Only a known man like yourself, who does things, could come up with such a quip.

Interesting. It was the failure of the fan that made me use their repair service!

Is there anything to help preserve the life of the fan btw?

Yeah - turn the boiler off

otherwise, no

It comes down to the quality of the bearings and the location in the boiler

The guy from W-B advised me never to turn the boiler off as the fan or pump may seize.

It preserves the life of the fan if you never switch it on

The pump can seize because of limescale in the bearing - this can normally be overcome by undoing the big screw in the end (on a grundfos) and turning the shaft manually.

Modern boiler controls tweak the pumps testicles on a daily basis to prevent this happening

As for the fan - he was talking bollocks
