coloured flexible grout

I'm tiling a small bathroom with 300 x 300 mm porcelain tiles.

Same tiles on wall and floor.

5mm gaps on wall and floor.

I bought white grout:- Walls - BAL superflex wide joint grout Floor - BAL microflex wallgrout.

Now decided grey grout would look better so will get refund on white grout.

Supplier has only BAL wallgrout in grey and says as I am using 5mm gaps the grey wall grout will be suitable on the floor.

Is this a good idea??

Any other recommendations for a FLEXIBLE grey floor grout? I am using DITRA matting over wood for the first time so am concerned about slight movement cracking the grout.

Why not buy some black grout colourant and add it to what you have?

Tile shop said not to. Dunno why.

I had a real problem trying to get hold of the BAL grouts in different colours. It seems to be a new range with limited availability. Yes it will be suitable so long as it is flexible and 'rated' the correct size gap.

May find a slightly wider range of colours here:

- I've used charcoal and ivory from BAL.

Nice one - grey superflex!

10kg bag though....more than I'll need for the floor,....

hmmmm, can I use the superflex wide joint grout on the walls? That would guarantee a colour match too.

Thanks - it's flexible, dunno if it's *as* flexible as the superflex.

Ive got tons of ardex grey flexible grout.

But I have to say on my tiles over wood, I just used BAL standard stuff.

IF it cracks, you know you have a problem..more serious than flaking grout.

What, the 'non-flexible' stuff?
