can't seem to find any local suppliers of this, and the only online ones seem to be at silly prices. (900g/15 quid)Can anyone point me at a more reasonable source?

Alternatively, I did see some the other week in our local B&Q near the cement section - maybe worth a look if you have one nearby.

You could try that again if you want
ISTR paying just over =A32 a bundle several yrs ago, but I really cant remember where.
I wondered if synthetic fibre cloth cut into small squares would unravel in a food processor. Havent tried it - and it would be very thin fibres.

Hansons charge £5 per cu metre when added to readymix iirc
