Is it worth paying the extra? Should I add plasticiser or not?

I am building an extension, single storey but 5 meters high where there will be stairs

What are you going to do with this cement?

I normally buy the mastercrete just because of the plastic bag... If you need to buy any quantity and can't store under cover then it makes it much simpler.

In terms of the product, I have not noticed much difference, although a retired builder I know always went for the original since he felt you got a "fattier" mix...

Plasticiser is worth having for bricklaying, since it give you a bit more adjustment margin and time IME (but that probably matters more to me as a less skilled bricklayer - I need more fiddling to get it right!)
