bubbles in the lining paper after i put the wallpaper up

can anyone help me with this? I have hung some wallpaper over th

customers exsisting lining paper, which had been painted a couple o times. The bubbles that are coming up and in the lining paper beneat not the wallpaper i have just hung. Its fabric effect paper so i don want to seringe if possible. Will these go down with time? I ie: a fe days or will it take longer or less?

Paint usually pulls lining paper up where it's not properly stuck to the wall, but it all flattens out in a couple of days

There is exsisting lining paper. Seamed to be sound. Painted twic before hand.

I hang new wallpaper over the top

Bubbles come up. Air ones. In the lining paper. Not the new wallpape (as i cant chase them out).

Will these go down?

It sounds like the lining paper just got wet. You should know by now. If you had used too much or too thick a mix of adhesive, you might have had a slightly different problem. The method of eradication is similar though.

Roll or brush it out.

How long did you wait between pasting the paper and hanging it? A good few minutes is the ideal. The damp paper/fabric, stretches. When it dries it pulls at tension. The lining paper too, may have been misapplied in such a manner, wetting with paste and putting each segment straight on the wall.

Now you have wet it again and it may have stretched. I have no idea what happens next. Do tell.
