I'm trying to decide between clay or concrete brindle block paving. The clay will be more expensive but, from what I've read, it will also be more robust and more colourfast than the concrete. What's the experience of those on the Forum? Is there anything else to consider in the decision?

20 years ago Indian sandstone wasn't much more expensive so that's what I bought.
Currently, Indian sandstone seems to be about the same price (for the driveway-rated type) as concrete paving; clay paving is roughly twice the price. I think I prefer the clay block, but more thought required.
Ah, you didnt mention driveway. You will probably spend more on what's underneath than on the blocks. Id use brick paviors.
