AEG Oven service manual

Aug 14, 2015 3 Replies

Our oven has packed in - it's an AEG Competence 5311. The internal cooling fan comes on plus the knob lights but nothing else, not even the oven light.

I've done a search on the web for a service manual, but haven't found anything save a possibly dodgy Chinese site. Anybody got any ideas where I can get a circuit diagram?

Many thanks Rob

Many thanks Davey. Sent an email as it's not on their list.

I'm suspicious now that it is what I think is the overheat thermostat at th e top of the oven.

Agggghh - bugger; it's now working!! I hate faults like that. I reckoned that the neon indicators in the switches might be working with just a leaka ge current through this thermostat, so disconnected it to prove that .... e verything started working again, and continued so even when this connection re-made. The resistance across this thermostat is still 0.5Mohm so I'm we ll confused.

There you go, you scared it into submission!

Works a lot.
