5 GHz Wi-Fi

I am considering switching on the 5 GHz signal on my router to seewhether this improves the operation of my iPad, specifically Zoomsessions.Am I right in thinking it is best practice to set this up with adifferent name to avoid disrupting other devices that are runningwell? Would I then have to choose between networks or can an iPadmake an automatic selection?

Have you got a wired ethernet device you could use for testing, to completely eliminate wifi?

If you're having difficulty being heard/seen, how is your upload speed?

Who/what else might be using your internet connection at the same time?

My situation is unusual and has another wireless link involved. However, a week or two ago, I had a long video chat with people in Australia and it worked absolutely fine in both directions. Trying to remember what we used - they supplied a link so it hasn't lodged in my brain. We do have fibre to the premises behind our setup which helps.
