This isn't true of resin type printers as they just build up layers from the bottom and only need enough resin in the tank to ensure its covered.

It is true for laser sintering machines but they don't need supports and the powder is reuseable.

Yes but you don't need a laser if you use an LCD screen as the light source.

You can buy single 1L bottles for £43 on amazon so its a lot cheaper.

You will have to RTFM. AFAIK you don't leave it in the printer when not being used with any of the "home" printers. More professional printers have auto top up and things like that but are expected to be in use a lot of the time.
