With partner along, we aimlessly wander from shelf to shelf and, just as we are getting towards the end, she suddenly remembers she wants something in the first aisle we visited, which is at the other end of the shop by now.

Tesco 24v drill

Some low=20 power, low grade tools in the Hanley shop. Their grocery business seems to be on the slide though. I went to the=20 frozen veg section and one whole side of the isle was frozen chips the=20 other was a variety of mixed veg.

OT: DVLA

Providing both eyes match and you know the diopter value you need for distance, £1 shop glasses are fine. My eyes are just marginal for distance, but I choose to wear some prescribed distance glasses for the slight improvement they make to reading distant road signs.

OT: Bank transfers

When I buy something in a shop the charge appears immediately, typically I hear the notification from the bank on the phone while I'm still at the till. But that's usually in a "pending" state for a day or two before it becomes confirmed.

What size compressor?

After a few years, I wanted more, and finally settled on a used 5Hp 2-stage compressor from a compressor shop. This unit is quieter (no tinny rattle) and supplies whatever I need. And will last my lifetime probably. I passed the sears unit on to my father. Running continuously isn't a bad ...

Two electric meters measuring the same usage?

Recently bought a shop with a flat above.... 2 meters in the cupboard, the supply is split by means of two black junction boxes between the shop and the flat.

Absolutely crap LED G9 bulbs...who makes ones that *last*?

HI Michael I've had similar experiences with GU10 Leds from ebay - they simply don't last - I was replacing GU10's in our shop every week - we have 60 or so of them.
