OT-Norton Adware/Malware

I just (15 minutes ago) installed Avira 10 free over Avira 9 free without any warnings, special settings, or problems. I think you did too much. The Avira web site indicates that you can install 10 over 9 and your settings in 9 will be retained (and mine were).

Ignore that last one ...

I pay for a couple on 1&1 and write them off as a business expense but I also use isp which is free. You could do that but would not have domain name you want. Probably no such thing as free hosting site as they will get you for advertising or something.

Two-part restaurant billing.

It's really free money, especially because I've never been in a restaurant in the U.S. that imposes a surcharge for payment with a credit card (or a discount for paying in cash).

Purchase Insurance (a bit OT)

To answer the OP's question I would also recommend getting a credit card for reasons outlined by other posters, unless you are likely to go bad and buy stuff you can't afford.

Perpetual motion?

Card operated mostly. Card costs 20/year. Some free in supermarkets. (For how long?) Not many DC ones. I don't have a card, don't need.

Flashing

My father in law worked for the local council and he regularly has to visit the permanent traveller sites to replace the copper piping from the toilet blocks which are provided to them free of charge. Presumably they sell the piping for scrap or something.

old tv show
