100 pounds doesn't seem excessive for an on site visit, for even the simplest repair RTB perhaps not

might visit a cultured marble shop. they pour up marble sheet in most any color(s), affix them to the walls, and No Grout to clean ;) It is not labor intensive to block up and pour custom dimensions into stock molds and then it really installs quick - made to fit perfect!

New Pillar Drill Conked...

I'm probably going to visit the Axminster shop in the next few weeks to place a fairy large order for some dust extraction kit/ducting... So will probably take it with me then... I still have no idea what was causing the failure... Any thoughts? Roy

A Trip to Local Antique Mall

It's too cold to work in the shop/garage(temp in the teens) so I made a visit to one of the local antique malls for another look at a couple of old workbenches they have had for a few months now.

Perhaps the first project to build would be a sturdy workbench--you will gain skills and have a very useful shop "tool" when complete. Visit your local library for books.

Then there are the August Home publications, Woodsmith and Shop Notes that have no advertising. Most of these have web sites you can visit and make up your mind form what you see.
