Hmmm, guess I'll trade in my cabinet saw for one of those little direct drive jobbies so I can take it with me and use less space in my shop.
You need all or some of your shop circuits wired with #12 wire wirh 20 amp breakers. That would probably be enough to keep from tripping breakers. -- Jim in NC

i make mine outta 1/2" lexan. [ only cause i found a boatload of it in a dumpster near a plastics shop!] works good and looks cool too! lol..... skeez
(Scariest thing in my shop is that my CNC control program requires a Microsoft base - I worry more about the safety aspects of that than anything else.)
So why not just make a pile of oily salad in the corner of your shop and see what happens?
And you could leave your wives standing around in the (rain, sun, sleet, snow please pick one) while YOU go putter around in a fabric shop for a change! Josie
