DW735 and dust collection

I used the biggest shop vac that Sears has to offer with the DW735, and it seemed to work pretty well - but I made sure to empty the vac and clean its filter before I start each time. But a small shop vac? Forgetaboutit!

Tablesaw mobility question

Ed, My Grizzly 1023 saw rolls on a Shop Fox mobile base. The alignment issue is negligible. The motor/trunnion assembly and fence rails are mounted to the saw's top and is not affected by the movement of the base. This is the case for (I think) all cabinet saws.

Changing a Walker Turner saw from 220 to 120

You think every shop has a dedicated single-outlet circuit for every machine in the shop??? Not hardly... ...[snip rant]... There are multiple ways, many of which are as "right" as any other as far as Code and safety are concerned.

220 V table saws and ground

OT: sending stuff to USAnia?

We purposely avoided a shop with Post Office, and bought a Post Office with shop. Shops with POs tend to be convenience type stores, open all hours, seven days a week. Sounds like mine :-) The answer, in my case, is that we are also a mail sorting/delivery office.

Condensation

To prevent condensation, you need to reduce the relative humidity in the shop. This is done by (a) reducing the moisture content of the air in the shop, or (b) raising its temperature.

Those d$&%*$ 'screw off' lids

What if your shop door is open and kids on the way to school spot the unprotected container? They'd be tempted to sneak into the shop and open the container. Then they may take it to the bus stop and show it to the older kids, the bad kids that smoke.

using central vac as DC

I think the money I've spent on a good DC system is one of my best shop investments. Built my own collector, added a good penn state motor to it, and have it plumbed to every stationary tool in my shop. It's amazing how much it picks up and helps keep the shop clean. My 2 cents ...

Electrical Question

I put in a 100 amp subpanel in my work shop feed by a 60 amp 220v breaker in the house. It is true that you will only use 1 machine at time assuming that only you are in the shop so you most likely will never need any more than 60amps 220V.
