off topic: new car advice for senior

Using top quality power supply, memory, 3D capable high res. graphics card, enterprise class HD. None ever had trouble. This boxes run only specific application 24/7. Cutting a mould from special alloy block often takes for days. My SIL owns the shop. Always too much work to do.

Clamps - They are gone

and get a gift card for $40 by mail. Sure you're not getting cash back or a true $ off but if you are like me you'll probably spend that amount on shop staples anyway (sand paper, roller covers, lumber, nuts/bolts, etc). Hopefully this is a 'silver lining' to your clamp quest.

Wilton vice jaw inserts

You can call (800) 274 6848 to place a credit card order. My vise was a 1750 model 5" x 6" and the jaw inserts were #29041140 and came with retaining screws. The pipe jaws were 2904200. Because of a communicatioin misunderstanding I thought the inserts came as singles, but they are a set.

Sears microwave Model 665.6170911

It sounds like the clock card blew. This is by far the biggest cause of modern microwave failure. There *might* be a blown fuse inside but I wouldn't count on it. We used to get one or two a year in the shop to look at them, and it was always a bad clock.
