constructing a wooden scaffold

He used it to build a 2400sq.ft. sawing mill shop on site. The method is sound. I'll definitely look into that. Many thanks to all who answered. Assuming I get to build it, I'll post pictures on my site with a description of how to build it.

Stolen tools & Police/ sheriff's database

From that PC World article: "I talked to Tom Shea, a police officer with the Brookline, Massachusetts Police Department, about his Juststolen site." So, it doesn't seem to be just spam. I wonder if computer literate thieves could hack the database and go "shopping" on the site.

Coleman Powermatic catalytic heater

Today, it stunk me out of the shop, smelling almost as bad as kerosene. I'd guess the catalytic screen is worn out, or nearly so, as it doesn't seem to be throwing as much heat, either.

HF Quality

BTW, about random prices at HF -- it seems that one set of numbers is the item and the other is for the catalog, at least when I shop on-line at HF (don't have a brick store near me).

OT: How the electric car revolution could backfire

Then there are days when I leave home, visit one site, travel to a friends overnight before visiting another site the following day to then return home, those would stretch the range to the limits.

Demon news has become disconnected from the internet.

The trouble with that site is that the top ISP on the list is there on the basis of one submission, yet there are other ISP's that are rated based on numbers like 150 submissions.

Reusing compression olives

I remember they had 4 big metal cabinets containing essential components for repairing shop floor equipment which only the maintenance staff could get the keys for. Always empty of any useful components as I recall.
