Drum Sander opinions

For the record, most of my shop is Grizzly and had they offered a drum sander at the time I bought the Delta (in 2000), I would have bought theirs, just because! Haven't been on rec.woodworking in years - here's my shop if anyone's

Blow Dust Outside vs filter?

DC hoses

I had to air out the piece before bringing it into the shop (strong plasticky smell) since my shop is keyed to my house HVAC. -- Most people assume the fights are going to be the right versus the left, but it always is the reasonable versus the jerks.

Junckers Rustic Oil - where can I purchase in Reading/London area?

I've got beech kitchen worktops, and originally used Junckers Rustic oil on them until my local DIY shop stopped stocking it. I've tried other oils in meantime but nothing has been as good as the Junckers.

Just managed to upset another customer

The local corner shop owner just called me to get the lights working in his shop. The problem was a faulty light switch. The only snag was that there was a load of shelving (full off his cat food stock) in the way of the left hand screw for the lightswitch.

Squeeking door hinges

Remove the pins from the hinges. Rub a bar of soap (don't wet it) on the pins. Put the pins back and you're all set with no squeaks for a long time.
