Slightly OT - how to include a photo in a new post

Fruit tree

Ther eare many web sites that give clear instructions for pruning all types of fruit trees. Also for larger apples it's a good practice to remove about half when fruit first forms.

What extension cord is needed for electric fry pan?

It was only after the 17 code that 14ga TW was not rated at 20a in 310-15 table. (60c column). I still haven't seen what prompted that change. That used to be a regular test question. (a 16a FLA motor on a 40a inverse time breaker using 14ga wire).

Time-expired cable?

I recently removed some dead 7/0.29 TW&E from my cellar which makes it about 40 years old, and I'd have described it as in perfect condition.

Locking a workstation

Speaking of which, some darling kiddies (aka tw*ts) destroyed one of my fence panels at the back of the house last night - not sure what they hit it with, but at least a couple of the fairly heavy (1/4"?) vertical slats were reduced to splinters.

Outside Lamp and Earth

It could be there is an earth wire in the feed cable (TW&E) which is 'made off' under one of the lamp to wall fixing screws - I've seen this before. If you can be sure no one else is in the house, wire a light between live and that earth. If it lights normally, the earth is at least ...

NTL/Virgin Media broadband SNAFU

Now I get full 8Mb during the daytime and from around 5 PM onwards I get 5 1/2 Mb and from around 11 PM the speed goes back up to full 8Mb and all for an extra two pounds a month more than I was paying TW for a 4 Mb connection which I never got from 5 PM onwards every evening .
