Deliveries have to be unloaded and sorted into the bins. Etc. TP have always had an odd approach to pricing. If you ask for discount, you usually get it. But it seems to be at the whim of the salesman. Perhaps when things settle down, Wicks may just sell the things TS doesn't.

Ikea "Metod" wall cabinets - any good?

A wise man takes a grab from the spares bins as he leaves :) Thanks - I did not know the range was new. The one I am looking at will be used a bit like caravan cabin storage - high level row of cupboards.

Maplin meltdown

All sold loose from self service bins. Nails are sold by weight and screws can be purchased in small numbers or by the box. Prices tend to be a lot lower than B&Q.

Who stores empty boxes?

Just look at all those boxes, coolers and storage bins the thing holds! I think most people would keep piling stuff on the rack until it was full... I hope they lag it into joists too...

Owain coughed up some electrons that declared: Yes - when I worked in London, we bought 3 I think of the standard sized wheelie bins to keep in the computer room.

Gritting drives and lanes

It would even better if you elicited the support of your local councillor and any neighbours in the area to add a bit of weight to your request - and once the bins are in place, the council will keep them filled as necessary. Unbeliever

Sad story worth repeating concerning Walnut Acres

They did their own canning, had refrigerated grain bins, and were wacko in a wonderful sense. Loved them. Think small scale with community involvement aka real work with a charity too boot to help India's children and there was no overhead cost. Dollar in Dollar out. Bill
