It was a nice day to work in my own shop so that is where I was. Ttomorrow when it is 14 degrees and too cold to go out there, I'd rather be a at a demo.

Fan curves for Shop Vacs: 150 cfm & 20 inches H2O

We are looking unsuccessfully in the newsgroups to find fan curves for commercial shop vacs. Is that the best solution for this flow/static combination? Thanks! Justin Koch 1) Source of supply for Fan curves. 2) Tradeoffs between shop vacs and dust collection systems.

Workshop Heater

Takes only minutes to heat my shop (30x19). Once the temp is comfortable I only need to fire it up every hour or so. I have it running off a 20lb LP tank and this tank will last about a month at present usage. If I am in the shop 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Searcher 1

Dado advice

We had a real pro shop and had the best of everything. I am now starting a little shop in my garage and now, money is tight. Having lost the Forrest Dado deal at Amazon, I am looking for a dado. I will probably use it for solid and hardwood ply. What do you guys suggest for a lower ...

Cabinet Maker career?

We started a furniture cabinet shop in San Francisco. It was the height of the boom years but the second year we brought in 150K with one fulltime and one part time partner. My partner is now running the shop and has two employees and is doing very well.

Saw Stop

As for the retirement shop, I'm reaching that delicate age myself and starting to admit that with less frequent use, and sometimes distractions by any number of extraneous things, I may not be as safe as I'd like. In the retirement shop, with money on hand, it seems a nobrainer.

DeWalt DW735 Thickness Planer

Of course I'm using it in a home shop environment, so it's not getting too much abuse. I'd say my DeWalt is the only tool I wouldn't change if I could start again. Everything else in my shop could be replaced with a better quality tool. Marton

My shop, which is located in Charlotte, NC is not available to you even if you happen to live across the street. It was a reasonable request. If you had just said you lived in Boston or San Francisco, nobody else living outside those cities would need reply. As it is, I doubt anybody ...
