compound miter question

I don't have the exact answer but I just did a search using "cutting crown molding" and came up with many sites that show how to make some of the "weirdest" cuts you'll come across.

Wood terminology

I keep seeing the term (non-)durability in descriptions of the characteristics of various wood species. I find it confusing..I mean they describe hard maple as non-durable, but then describe it as suitable for flooring. What exactly do they mean by non-durable? Thanks. Arthur

Tool kit - cordless stuff.

There's no point in buying a non-SDS drill. Even for normal brick SDS is a million times better than non-SDS. If you want to use non-SDS bits (for wood or whatever) just get an SDS chuck adaptor (£20). Bill

8mm Propane Gas Valve

Would something lie a non-return valve at the heater end of the tube work? Search ebay for "8mm non return valve" Or depending on the fitting to bottle/heater a hose with an inbuilt non-return valve. BES is one company that has these http://www.bes.co.uk/

What, if any masonry products are considered non-porous? I assume CMU is *not* non-porous. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge.

Tips for an organized workshop

There was too much relevant stuff to do to bother with pencil sharpening 101. ;-) That would be the only reason to have taken it, but wouldn't justify the time taken away from something else.
