Owned my own shop for a little over 20 years. Although we made a lot of high tech stuff someone would often stop by with a broken lawn mower or something on weekends. Helped break the monotony sometimes.
Having worked a number of years at Sears, I suspect the oversize packaging is aimed more at deterring shop lifters than enticing buyers to buy. Chase a shop lifter running with one of these gigantic boxes and he/she will likely drop it to run faster.
I Work for a HVAC shop and we often put in shop heaters for temporary heat. The heaters I describe are the type like the Modine Hot Dawg or Reznor UDAP. just remove a window, cover it with plywood and run a vent trough it. 20# propane tanks will not get you far for that type of heat.

I got tired of emptying my shop vac of dust and chips so I got an Oneida cyclone on sale at Woodcraft and put it between the tool(s) and the shop vac. It made a huge difference, almost everything ends up in the cyclone rather than in the shop vac.
