How do I make this shaker foot design?

(and, since I'm moving the shop back to the old building, I will even have less room ... hard thing, moving back into a smaller space, although it will balance itself by having the shop back on premises.)

13A socket in toilet (not bathroom)

If we were a 'normal' shop (one that made a trading profit) then we could probably do that. As it is, we're organised as a co-op - and our income (from members' subscriptions) is spent on shop expenses like rates, rent, insurance, electricity.

Door hanging thoughts

Friend of mine, time served cabinet maker, did some work on a table for the owner of an angling shop. Did it as a favour. Few weeks later said cabbie needed some fishing hooks and some line for a contest, went to shop owner and was charged full price for the items. Once bitten etc !. ...

Boss pipe How to block old entry.

http://www.toolstation.com/shop/PlumbingHeating/GreySoilVent/d20/sd2909See above picture. 7th from the bottom. Just remodeled bathroom, How do you block up where one of the 40mm pipes went into the boss. Due you use a push fit socket plug at the bottom of this page.

Temporary (plastic?) walls for a workshop

e=136&p=869Since getting mine I have no more layer of dust all over me and my shop. The great thing about it is that you can leave it on with an integrated timer, so it will keep cleaning the air for some time after you leave your shop.

can I put my table saw on blocks?

I have a big, old, heavy 12" Minimax table saw and a small small shop. If I could raise my saw about 3 inches I could slide my jointer, welder and shop vac under the side table. Is there any reason why I shouldn't build a heavy platform out of 4x4s and slide it under there?

Storehouse tool chests at Harbor Freight?

I pretty much filled it up with tools but amazingly the clutter in the shop didn't decrease. ;-) If I don't do something stupid like tow it I expect it will last 20+ years in my home shop. If I hit the lotto I'll replace it with a $1000 model with better slides. -- Mark

Nailer Backfire

The bad guy had a wood shop, full of power tools, among them a air nailer. The good guy back tracked the bad guy to the shop, and the usual scuffle broke out. It ended when the good guy got his hands on the air nailer.

Workshop Subpanel Amps

I run my shop 24'x40' on 80 amps. It's 175' from the main panel running on 3 #4's and a #6. I could have used less but I had the breaker. If it's a one man shop then anything over I think would be overkill. All I would say is stay away from aluminum, even if it's just for a feed.
