Well what do you expect buying electrical goods from a food shop? B-) None in When ever I have taken things back to Safeway a record has been taken of my name, item, amount, the CS reps signature and mine.

155mm core drill

Go to your local hire shop, not the big boys. I was quoted £35 (from memory) by HSS, but went to local hire shop and got the same animal (in my case 127dia) c/w drill, transformer and extension for £15. This some will do if they know that you are using it for one hole as a DIY ...

Worst POS Tool You Ever Bought

A metal bender from Harbor Freight - First and last time I'll shop at that junk shop. After getting the bender home, after assembling, it broke the first time I pulled on it. Returned it, second one snaped in the same place. Returned it, third one, same snap. Tossed it.

Replacement for viewing JPG files

If you are looking for something comparable to Adobe Photoshop, then an inexpensive alternative is Corel Paint Shop Pro which is less than $100. It has most of the editing capabilities (filetypes, layers, plugins) that Photoshop supports.

Tired of sawdust

The suggested square footages are a little larger than what I am able to give up from the big shop. Therefore, I will be getting quotes on pouring a 12'x60' slab alongside the existing shop. Eventually I will close it in and use some/most of it for woodworking. Thanks again, Ivan ...

Gettin' Lucky and The Golden Bucket of Crap

I spent the afternoon putting it together and moving clamps from the old shop to the new temp shop ... where the hell did all those clamps come from (and there's still another load)??? My 401 (Bessey)K is looking pretty well funded, by damn!

Hearing Protection

I use them in the shop and when using a back-pack leaf blower. I think my surface planer and router art the noisiest shop tools. I tried the spongee cylinder ear plugs--they work too, very inexpensive and may be better for some folks--buy them at your firearms dealer.

Blowing sawdust around

I have a compressor in the shop but try to avoid blowing dust out or off of anything inside the shop.. I have a reducer on my DC that brings it down to 2" with a "needle head" on it.. If that won't suck the dust out of motors, pulleys, etc., than the compressor probably wouldn't ...

Drawer slide alternatives?

I have the old ones, to be installed in the shop, somewhere. Only a few of the same size, though, but a custom carcass may be perfect. Yep, use them for your shop or other need. I like Leon's cue, to make new ones that are deeper, into the cabinet, with side mounts. Sonny
